“I am AVA: a Montana-grown musician whose original songs blend indie, jazz, and RnB influences into folk roots. My music is directly reflective of my life as a young woman in the era of late capitalist, mass-mediated North America. Themes of greed, power, (dis)connection, love, and loss permeate my playing style for a unique, contemporary sound . . . I believe that my life’s work is to harness the transformative capacity of the stage. Now more than ever, I am leveraging my songwriting to join the voices of many trying to capture, assess, and re-envision life on earth.”
