Tim Mann‘s original material mixes a heavy dose of 60s British pop (Beatles, Kinks, Rolling Stones) with a pervading undercurrent of American roots rock (Byrds, Dylan, The Band, Neil Young) to form a blend of contemporary nostalgia, in the vein of Tom Petty and Elliott Smith.

Grant Bloom was brought up learning classical piano; wedged between Dallas and Ft. Worth Texas. Much like a kid eating broccoli, he pushed it away, not realizing how beneficial the music was. Some years later, he was baptized into the world of jazz and from this, music began to tug at Grant’s sleeve. After being taught basic guitar chords from his father, and becoming comfortable in his vocal prowess, Grant began to craft songs.

A graduate of Bentley University, Greg Adams earned a degree in Management and Environmental Studies. He also pursued an extra-curricular music education outside of the classroom, training under professional artists who studied at the Berklee College of Music. His first gig was a student showcase at a local pub where he channeled stage fright into a passionate performance, and ultimately found his true calling.

Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Elisa Smith & The Tiny Little Lies are steeped in the Americana roots and vintage country tradition. The inspiration for their outlaw honky-tonk sound is drawn from country greats like Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, and Tanya Tucker mixed with a dash of modern rock country. Their songs elicit feelings of nostalgia, pride, wanderlust, and good ol’ fashioned boot-stompin’ mischief. The diverse backgrounds of the band fuse together to form a truly American sound. Even though they have only been playing together for a short while, each band member’s connection to history, place, and musical tradition has instantly bound them together.
The MoonRaiders are a Western Swing band that combine elements of Jazz, Rock n’ Roll, Country, and Truck Driving music.

With tip my heart, Sally & George have made an engaging, eclectic debut album. It’s a thoughtful meditation on Means’ and Timmons’ courtship and love (the duo got engaged in July 2016 on a mountain in North Carolina after work on tip my heart was completed). The album deftly moves from rollicking, electrified rockers to stripped down, gauzy reflections on love and faith, to walking bass-led country-indebted duets. All of it is done tastefully, with an earnestness that does not shy away from humor or the occasional cuss word.
Evocative of such artists as Fleetwood Mac, The Corrs, Yes, Belle & Sebastian, Damien Rice, Guster and The Dave Matthews Band, the group implements the same skill and vision on cover tunes as they do in their own carefully crafted compositions, and in the process manage to capture something unique and refreshing… This is Black Mountain Symphony.
